Ever wonder how to make a decent looking light saber? Wonder no more! This week I show you how to make a light saber out of plumbing bits available at your local hardware store (I went to Home Depot) Items youll need: 1 14" Pop up basin drain 1 12" Extension tube 4 rubber bands 1 14" Slip nut and washer 2 packs(of 4) O rings 1 14" Slip joint washers (preferrably black) 1 34" Hole cover Black magic marker (unless you gotblack slip joint washers) I originally got these instructions from instructables: www.instructables.com Next week I plan to make a Harry Potter wand. There’s definitely room inside to put some lightsaber guts. It’s almost entirely open on the inside for about 1" around and about 60-70 percent of the way down (right until you get to the shaft of the whole cover). You could also cut the shaft of the whole cover with a hack saw if you needed some more space.

I was thinking about gutting one of those Force FX lightsabers from Target that are like $30 and stuffing it into this custom hilt, then add some polycarbonate tubing to be the blade. Do you think this would work?
